Making Creativity Works offers over 100 hours of FREE hands-on training that equips you with the skills and knowledge you need to develop a career in film, television or video production.

In stage one, you’ll take part in Making Creativity Works Inspire:

an introduction to production for those who have little or no experience in the screen industry covering basic video and editing, storyboarding and working together as a production team

Following that, you’ll progress onto stage two, Making Creativity Works Advanced:

focusing on specialist skills training and career advice, plus help and support to apply for further film and media training, if you decide to go to a college or university.

You may have some experience of working on a film or in television, but also no experience is necessary to apply to take part. We are particularly interested in encouraging a diverse range of applicants, including those who:

  • identify as Deaf or Disabled
  • are unemployed or economically inactive
  • are students, approaching the end of their course

Important: you must live in Northumberland, North Tyneside or Newcastle upon Tyne to apply.

Making Creativity Works is funded by North of Tyne Combined Authority, a part of ITV Academy and delivered by Signpost Productions and Beacon Films, two North-East production companies that work with Deaf, hearing, Disabled and non-Disabled screen creatives.
